The origin for this painting date to a journey I made to my native Bretagne (France). Hiking near the Cap Frehel, a towering lighthouse over the ocean, I marveled at a single cloud over the calm and turquoise sea. This piece is about a feeling of peace and a memory of a special time in a special place, where one is born and feels home. This oil painting on canvas stretched over a birch panel measures 24 x 30 inch and is framed by a moulding that is reminiscent of the color of the sea.
